Revolutionising broadband connectivity – how it all began
FibreNow’s journey began when our Founder and Managing Director experienced the frustrations of inadequate Internet at his new home in Essex during COVID. With everyone working from home (adults and students alike) and streaming video and gaming content, and online education packages, he became frustrated with Internet speeds of less than 5mb in his area.
Hampered by the lack of solutions from mainstream providers and realising that many others in the local community faced similar challenges, he embarked on a mission to address this issue for his household and neighbours. This led to the launch of FibreNow Ltd.
FibreNow initiated an ambitious project, deploying dedicated fibre to the community, wiring six apartment blocks, and utilising cutting-edge wireless technology to connect 60 houses in the immediate area. The outcome was excellent – and the community grateful – as 250 residents gained Internet connections ranging from 25Mb to 1Gb.
With great enthusiasm in the local community for such a solution – and believing that Internet access is no longer a luxury but an essential utility to help businesses and households function – the founder of FibreNow decided to continue this momentum and connect other communities struggling with subpar Internet services. Since then, we’ve been speeding up Internet connectivity in residential and commercial areas.
